Privacy and Cookie Choice

This page says what usaipa.org counts, what it stores in your browser, and how to say no.

What is counted

usaipa.org counts page views. Two free counters are used: Abacus and GoatCounter. Each one records a page name, a date, and nothing else.

Counting runs without cookies. No ID is stored for you, no fingerprint of your device is built, and no personal data leaves the browser. The numbers are totals for the site, not a list of people.

What the Accept button adds

On a first visit a banner offers two buttons. Press Accept and this browser stores one flag in local storage: a note that you were counted once today. That flag is what makes the repeat visitor number possible.

The flag lives only on your own device. It is not a cookie, it is not sent anywhere, and it carries no name, email or address.

How to opt out

Press Essential only. The banner closes, your choice is remembered so it does not ask again, and no repeat visit flag is written. The page view is still counted, because the counters only record that a page was opened, never who opened it.

To stop the counting itself, block third party scripts for abacus.jasoncameron.dev and goatcounter.com in your browser or with a script blocker. The site keeps working.

What is not collected

No cookies. No name, no email address, no home address. No advertising profile and no sharing of numbers with advertisers. This site has no ad network and no tracking pixel.
